Aqua Beach Resort & Spa is a 5 Star luxury resort with 20 Deluxe Rooms and 4 Beachfront Villas. The Aqua team produces their own drinking water, they are plastic-free, they grow spices and herbs in their own kitchen garden and buy food from the farmers and fishermen nearby.

Residential
The House that collects Water building a sustainable home in Fumba Town.
This is the story of constructing an off grid sustainable home in rural Zanzibar. Building without cement, the house is made of lime, local stone and wood. It includes a biodigester to handle wastes from the kitchen and the garden as well as sewage. This will provide cooking gas for the kitchen. The house will be solar-powered.
Training
Composting Implementation at Melia Hotel enriches soil, helping retain moisture & suppress plant diseases and pests
The Team of PDC has been invited to train the staff at Melia Hotel in composting techniques. All organic waste will be turned into one of the most valuable resources: fertile soil & natural fertilizer (compost), which is used to nourish the hotel's landscape and help to grow healthy food in their farm to table greenhouse.

The Permaculture Design Company adheres to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of 2015 and uses the principles and ethics of Permaculture in approaching the landscape design for the new satellite city of Ville Verte in Dakar, Senegal by Casa Orascom.

Fursa Kijani Youth Empowerment a milestone project generating formal employment & income opportunities for Zanzibari youth in permaculture.
The project was launched in 2016 to generate opportunities in particular through green jobs by building capacity and practical knowledge as well as connecting project beneficiaries to real work experiences.

Practical Permaculture Institute Zanzibar (PPIZ) traditional building techniques combined with a ready to learn environment.
PPIZ is teaching Permaculture skills to local farmers and primary school teachers to empower them to sustainable livelihoods and a life in tune with nature, and carrying their knowledge into communities. Creating abundance, regenerating the land and water. PDC supported the establishment of PPIZ to empower local farmers and youth to be able to deal with climate change.
