More light, a vegetable garden & a composting area

Overlooking a beach on the Indian Ocean, this laid-back hotel on leafy grounds has been reshaped and maintained by PDC for the past year. Many existing trees had been drastically pruned to allow more light to come in and provide better growing conditions to the various medicinals, fruit trees, ornamental plants and spices. A vegetable garden next to the restaurant and kitchen had been added to have fresh herbs and vegetables for the guests to enjoy. A composting operation had also been added to feed the growing needs of the landscape. Our in-house PDC team maintains the pool, beach area, waste management area as well as keeping some farm animals. Only biological products are used to maintain the landscape such as our own concoctions of pesticides and fertilizers.
